Are we spending too much time on Chromebooks? The National Board of Professional Teaching Standard addressed this topic last year. According to their recommendation, a student should plan on spending a particular number of hours learning online depending on their age and grade level.

If your laptop mouse seems too sensitive or you seem to inadvertently touch your touchpad, adjusting your mouse sensitivity can help and is easy to do:

  1. Click the Start button.

  2. Type “Mouse settings” in the search bar and then hit Enter.

  3. Adjust the slider labeled “Mouse pointer speed” or "Cursor speed" to the sensitivity that feels the best (typically 5-7).
