Imagine being able to write the first chapter of a book, or section of a short story, and have your students continue it. ALL of them. Students each write the next chapter/section, as you provide feedback and assess them individually, and students vote for their favorite (without knowing who wrote what).

BoomWriter allows teachers to have students collaboratively write a story, and even publish it as a real paperback book. It can help students develop vocabulary, with activities built-in to enhance and assess students' vocabulary levels. Best of all, it is completely free, and integrated with Google sign on for students. ~AO

Do you use Google Sheets? You don't need to write any formulas or click any menus to get summary statistics about your data. Highlight the data and look down in the bottom right corner of the status bar, where you will see metrics about your data.
