Grifoni palace is one of the most representative buildings of the late Renaissance Tuscan architecture. The interior of the building , today , is home to the " fondazione della cassa di risparmio di San Miniato " .
The building was finished around 1555. The brick features a large doorwa , surmounted by the family coat of arms flanked by two windows kneelin . On the first floor the big windows are surrounded by rings and the upper loggia is supported by elegant Tuscan columns. The building was torn down during the Second World War and mutilated his right side.
Formichini palace was built in the XVI century, the second draft of a Florentine architect. Since the XIX century belongs to Formichini family and from 1950 is home to savings of San Miniato case. It depicts the main institution of our territory. It was established in 1830 and is one of the oldest Italian savings banks. In lime white façade stands the stone
that frames the doorway and windows . The two windows flanking the front door, were added in the sixteenth century.
