This guide explains how to send SMS messages in ACMS to different groups: students, batches, employees, applicants, and all users.
From the dashboard, go to Collaboration > SMS Module
Purpose: Send messages to selected students from a batch.
Steps:
Go to SMS > Send SMS to Students.
Select a Batch from the dropdown.
In the Select Students list, tick individual names or "Select All".
Enter the Message in the provided text box.
Click Send SMS.
⚠️ Students without a registered mobile number cannot be selected.
Purpose: Send messages to all students in one or more batches.
Steps:
Go to SMS > Send SMS to Batches.
Select a Batches Group and then one or more Batches.
Enter the Message content.
Click Send SMS.
⚠️ Only batches where students/guardians have mobile numbers are selectable.
Purpose: Message all employees within a specific department.
Steps:
Go to SMS > Send SMS to Employees.
Select the Department from the dropdown and choose the employee.
Type your Message.
Click Send SMS.
Purpose: Bulk message to employees across multiple departments.
Steps:
Go to SMS > Send SMS to Department Employees.
Select one or more Departments.
Enter the Message.
Click Send SMS.
⚠️ Departments with no employees having mobile numbers will be unselectable.
Purpose: Message prospective students based on programme and status (e.g. pending, allotted).
Steps:
Go to SMS > Send SMS to Applicants.
Select a Programme.
Filter by Application Status (Pending, Allotted, Eligible, etc.).
Select individual Applicants or click "Send SMS to All".
Type the Message and click Send SMS.
🔹 Useful for sending offer letters, reminders, or rejections.
Purpose: Broadcast a message to all students, employees, and applicants who have mobile numbers.
Steps:
Go to SMS > Send SMS to All.
Enter the Message in the pop-up window.
Click Send SMS.
Purpose: Track message history and statuses.
Steps:
Go to SMS > SMS Logs.
View sent messages with content, date, and time.
Click the eye icon to preview full message content.
