Managing the Student Online Application Form

ACMS allows institutions to fully customize the online application form to match their data collection needs and policies. You can add new fields, reorder sections, make fields mandatory, or group questions into logical categories.

This guide walks you through how to personalize your application form.

Step 1: Navigate to the Customization Tool

Go to Academics > Application Registration > Settings.

In the top-right corner, click the blue button: Customize Form.

Step 2: Understanding the Interface

After clicking Customize Form, you'll enter the Application Form Builder. Here, you’ll see:

• A list of existing fields and sections
  
  

• Icons to:
  
  

  • Reorder fields (⇅)
    
    

  • Add new fields (➕)
    
    

  • Add or reorder entire sections
    
    

  • Mark fields as mandatory
    
    

Step 3: Add a New Section

To keep the form organized:

1. Click Add New Section [1].
   
   

2. Fill in:
   
   

   • Section Name (e.g., Personal Info, Academic Background)
     
     

   • Section Description (optional)
     
     

3. Click Create Section.
   
   

To rearrange sections:

• Click Reorder Section
  
  

• Drag and drop to adjust the flow

Step 4: Add or Modify Fields

Within a section:

• Click the Add Field icon [2] to create a new question/input
  
  

• Choose field type: text, dropdown, file upload, checkbox, date, etc.
  
  

• Name the field and add help text if needed
  
  

• Mark it mandatory if required
  
  

To edit an existing field:

• Click the field name
  
  

• Make your changes
  
  

• Save

• Test the form before opening applications

Before officially launching the registration process to students, it’s crucial to test the registration link. Follow these steps:

1. Open a web browser and enter the registration URL. For example, the URL could be: https://my.astriauniversity.com/register

2. Go through the application form as a test applicant to ensure all fields and instructions are functioning correctly.

3. Check for any issues or errors during the form-filling process. Pay attention to mandatory fields, dropdown menus, and the overall user experience.

4. Make any necessary adjustments based on your testing feedback to ensure a smooth experience for future applicants.

Official Launch

After testing is complete and you are satisfied with the setup, you can officially announce the opening of registrations to potential students. To ensure that students can easily access the registration page, link the "Apply Now" button on your website to the registration URL
