The Event feature allows staff to create and publish key academic, cultural, or institutional events on the platform calendar. Follow these steps to set up an event:
1. Navigate to the Event Page
From the Collaboration or Dashboard menu, click on Events.
2. Enter the Event Title
Fill in the Title field with the name of your event.
Example: “Orientation for New Students – May 2025”
3. Set the Start and End Dates
Click the calendar icon next to the Start Date field and choose the starting date.
Do the same for the End Date.
🔁 The system allows single-day or multi-day events.
4. Mark as Holiday (Optional)
If the event is a public or institutional holiday, check the box “This event is a Holiday”.
⚠️ This will likely impact the academic calendar and attendance.
5. Add a Description
Use the Description box to provide event details.
You may include:
Time
Agenda
Speakers
Venue or Zoom link
Special instructions
6. Select the Event Audience
Choose who will see this event:
All users of the institution: Everyone on the platform will see it.
Select applicable users: You can target specific groups (e.g., students only, employees, departments).
If selected, additional filters (e.g., roles, batches, departments) may appear below.
7. Save the Event
Click the blue Create Event button to publish.
To cancel and discard changes, click Cancel.
