This section explains how to generate and manage data imports using predefined CSV formats, allowing administrators to bulk upload employee or student data into the system.
The Custom Imports module allows you to:
Generate and download structured CSV templates for different data models (e.g., Employee Admission).
Choose which associated data fields to include (e.g., bank details, privileges).
Fill in the CSV offline and upload it to the system for batch data import.
This process saves time and reduces human error when admitting multiple users into the system.}
Navigate to Custom Imports
Go to the left-side menu: Data and Reports > Custom Imports.
Click on "New"
On the top-right corner of the screen, click the blue New button to create a new export format.
Fill in the Export Details
Name: Enter a name for your import format (e.g., Bulk Employee Admission).
Model: Select the relevant data model from the dropdown (e.g., Employee Admission).
Select Associated Data
Check the boxes for additional fields you want to include
These fields will be included as additional columns in the CSV.
Click Save
Hit Save to generate and store the template.
In the Custom Imports main screen, locate the row of the format you created.
Click the CSV icon (๐) to download the file.
Fill in the data in the CSV using Excel or any spreadsheet editor.
Ensure no required field is left blank.
Follow the format strictly to avoid upload errors.

Upload your completed CSV file and submit.
Review any validation or error messages that appear.
From the Custom Imports list, you can:
Download CSV โ click the green CSV icon.
Import CSV โ click the file icon.
Edit format โ click the pencil/edit icon.
Delete โ click the trash icon to remove a template.
