After students have been accepted and allocated to their respective programmes, batches, and levels, the next step is to open course registration so that they can enroll in subjects for the term.
This process involves linking all required components: registration term, batch groups, and global subjects.
Before opening registration, make sure:
✔️ Programmes and batches are created
✔️ Students are allocated to batches
✔️ Course levels and global subjects are set
✔️ Global subjects are assigned to batches/levels
✔️ Registration term is created
✔️ Batch group and batch group period are configured
✔️ Global subjects are linked to batch group
Go to Administration > Settings > Global Subjects/Modules.
Click Registration Term > Manage Registration Term.
Click New Registration.
Enter:
Term Name
Start/End Dates (if applicable)
Click Save.
📌 You can reuse registration terms for future academic periods.
Go to Administration > Settings > Batch Group.
Click New Batch Group.
Enter:
Batch Group Name (e.g., April 2024 Intakes)
Select one or more Batches to include in this group.
Click Save.
🛠 Alternatively: Click the Edit icon next to an existing batch group name (e.g., April 2020) to modify it, add new batches, and then click Save.
Go to Academics > Course Registration Management.
Click New Batch Group Period.
Fill in the fields:
Select Registration Term
Batch Group Name (e.g., 2024 Science Batches)
LMS Prefix (optional, used for LMS integration)
Start/End Dates
Select the batches to be included by checking the boxes.
Click Save.
Go to Administration > Settings > Global Subjects/Modules.
Click Global Group Subjects.
Select the Batch Group.
Tick the checkboxes for the Subjects that should be available.
Click Save.
Once these steps are complete:
Students in the batch can register for the linked subjects during the active registration period.
Admins and instructors can view registrations and prepare for delivery.
Reports can be pulled by term, programme, batch, or subject.
