Leave Types in ACMS define the kinds of time off that employees are entitled to — such as Annual Leave, Sick Leave, Maternity Leave, or Study Leave. These are crucial for accurate attendance and payroll records.
Step 1: Navigate to Leave Settings
Go to Administration > Human Resources > HR Settings.
Click on Leave Types.
Step 2: Create a New Leave Type
Click the Add Leave Type button in the top-right corner.
Fill in the required fields:
Leave Type
Name of the leave (e.g., Annual Leave, Sick Leave)
Code
Unique identifier or abbreviation (e.g., ANU, SLV)
Valid From
Start date from which the leave type becomes active
Click Save.
Use the ✏️ Edit icon to update leave type details.
Use the 🗑️ Delete icon to remove a leave type no longer in use.
Note: Leave types must be configured before assigning leave balances or approving time-off requests.
