Friday, October 20th is Floyd Friday! Dress in Green and White to show your Floyd Pride! Go Colonials!
Attention all students. Are you interested in attending the Pep Rally and Homecoming Dance? Tickets for these events will go on sale at the 2 West and 3 West offices beginning on Friday, October 13th. This year, we will have a ticket pre-sale for seniors ONLY on Thursday, October 12th. Seniors- you do not want to miss out on your last chance to attend. Please remember that you must have a valid student ID card to obtain a ticket and to attend. ONLY William Floyd students are permitted to attend these events. Please note that the tickets for the Pep Rally are free and on a first come first serve basis. Tickets are limited so get them while they last! Tickets for the Homecoming Dance will be $3.00. Get your tickets before and after school or during your lunch period.
Did one of your students or a staff member do something wonderful this past month? Please take a moment to recognize this act by nominating him/her for student member of the month or faculty member of the month.
We need nominations for students from 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade. Please submit all forms in blue or black pen only!
Just as students deserve to be recognized, teachers do as well. Please take a moment to stop by any Assistant Principal’s office to pick up a form to nominate a teacher who has had an impact on you in a positive way.
Please drop off all nominations to the 1 West office.
Do you need some help getting ready for a math regents exam? Regent’s exam prep sessions are running after school weekly. Algebra I sessions will run every Monday in Room 306 and Thursdays in room 415. Geometry sessions will be held every Wednesday in Room 223 and Algebra II sessions will be on Fridays in Room 207.

Any girls interested in playing basketball this winter there is a mandatory meeting in Room 418 this Wednesday, 10/11 from 2:15-3:00pm. Important information regarding tryouts and scheduling for the 2017-18 basketball season will be discussed. Please make every effort to attend. See Coach Sinclair in Room 418 with any questions.

The award winning William Floyd Robotics Team is looking for new members, hosting our first meeting on Wednesday, October 11th, from 2:10 to 3:10 in Room 229. No prior knowledge is needed.
