Attention: Stony Brook STEP students that attend the Saturday program: There are only two more Saturdays left, tomorrow April 29th and May 6th. Please be at the north lobby by 8:00 am and have your parent pick you up at 1:45 pm. If you cannot attend please let Ms. Swiss know.
On April 27th, the girls JV softball team defeated Half Hollow Hills East in an exciting 8-4 victory. The girls rallied after being down 4-2 in the top of the 6th. Suzanne Roberts hit a two run homer to tie up the game 4-4. Makaylei Thrane scored the game winning run by stealing home on a wild pitch. Sophia Gaita laid down a bunt to get on base, stealing second and third, to make it home on a hit by Liberty Nemeth. Cheyanne Smothergill was a threat behind the plate, getting three outs on throw downs to second. Sarah Latoraco pitched a great 6 innings. Rachel Cizan closed out the game with three straight outs assisted by Liberty Nemeth. The girls return to the field today for a home game against Commack at 4:00.
