Attention any girls interested in playing basketball this year:
Tryouts begin on Monday, November 13 at 2:30 pm in the West Gym.
Please bring your pink clearance slip from the nurse and a filled out emergency card with you to tryouts.
All girls trying out must wear sneakers and appropriate sports attire.
Any questions, please see Coach Sinclair in Room 418 or Coach McMahon in the West Gym.
There will be an important meeting for anyone interested in wrestling this season on Thursday, November 9 at 2:30 in the 9th grade cafe. This is an informational meeting with important paperwork to be completed. Please make every effort to be there.
Any football player that is interested, Coach Mecca will be in the West Gym on Wednesday at 1:36. See him before heading out to practice.
Culinary would like to thank everyone who came to the Taste of the Town on Thursday night. We would like to send out a special thank you to Ms. Poidomani for all of her hard work and for making the night a huge success.

There will be a mandatory meeting for any girl interested in being a member of the Winter Track Team this coming Monday, November 6, in Room 162. The meeting will run from 2:15- 3:00 pm. Any questions, see Coach Ryan in Room 162.
There will be a mandatory meeting for any boys interested in running winter track on Monday, November 6. The meeting starts at 1:45 in the West Gym, during extra help, and will provide you with the proper paperwork and information to start the season.
All boys interested in Bowling, there will be an informational meeting on Monday, November 6 after school at 2:15 in room 137.
Attention all students and staff: Our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive has begun. This year, we are asking for non-perishable food items. Please bring these items to your 2nd period class. If you would like more information, your teachers have received a flyer. Any additional questions, please stop by the 2 West office.

All students in Grades 9 – 12 are invited to attend the William Floyd High School Renaissance Faire on November 15 from 6 p.m.- 8 p.m. Learn what it was like to live during the Renaissance Era by participating in activities, making crafts, watching performances, playing games and winning prizes.
You can pick up your ticket at your AP’s office beginning Wednesday, October 25. The cost of a ticket is one nonperishable food item and all contributions will go to our local food pantry.
Did one of your students or a staff member do something wonderful this past month? Please take a moment to recognize this act by nominating him/her for student member of the month or faculty member of the month.
We need nominations for students from 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade.
Please submit all forms in blue or black pen only!
Just as students deserve to be recognized, teachers do as well.
Please take a moment to stop by any Assistant Principal’s office to pick up a form to nominate a teacher who has had an impact on you in a positive way.

Do you need some help getting ready for a math regent’s exam? Regent’s exam prep sessions are running after school weekly. Algebra I sessions will run every Monday in Room 306 and Thursdays in Room 415. Geometry sessions will be held every Wednesday in Room 223 and Algebra II sessions will be on Fridays in Room 207.
On Thursday, November 16, Suffolk County Community College will be in the Counseling Center for Onsite Admissions. For more information on how to participate see your guidance counselor! Don’t miss out on this opportunity!
