The JV field hockey team tied their last home game 1-1 against Huntington last Thursday. They also won their final game of the season 1-0 against North Babylon on Friday.
There will be a Media Club meeting today in Room 414 during extra help. All are welcome.
Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Cross Country team on their performance at the Manhattan Invitational on Saturday. They finished with six runners under 21 minutes. Great job girls on your performance!

Attention juniors and seniors: Testing for the ASVAB Career Exploration Program will take place on Monday, after school, in the Senior Food Court.
This aptitude exam is free.
This program integrates the aptitude assessment and your personal interests. Exam scores can be used to help achieve your career goals or you can release to military recruiters if you plan on joining the military after high school.
If interested, please sign-up in the Main Office before noon on October 16th.

Attention all students: Pep Rally tickets are sold out!
Homecoming Dance tickets are still available at the 2 West and 3 West offices.
Please remember that you must have a valid student ID card to obtain a ticket and to attend. ONLY William Floyd students are permitted to attend. Tickets are limited so get them while they last! Tickets for the Homecoming Dance will be $3.00. Get your tickets before and after school or during your lunch period.

We need nominations for students from 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade. Please submit all forms in blue or black pen only!
Just as students deserve to be recognized, teachers do as well. Please take a moment to stop by any Assistant Principal’s office to pick up a form to nominate a teacher who has had an impact on you in a positive way.

Do you need some help getting ready for a math regents exam? Regent’s exam prep sessions are running after school weekly. Algebra I sessions will run every Monday in Room 306 and Thursdays in Room 415. Geometry sessions will be held every Wednesday in Room 223 and Algebra II sessions will be on Fridays in Room 207.
On Thursday, November 16th Suffolk County Community College will be in the Counseling Center for Onsite Admissions. For more information on how to participate see your guidance counselor! Don’t miss out on this opportunity!
