Attention Seniors: The Colonial Fund Scholarship is now accepting applications. To apply go to www.colonialfund.org. Transcript Request Forms are due to your School Counselor by Monday, March 26. The Scholarship application deadline is April 1, 2018.
Attention All Seniors: Graduation is right around the corner. Please come down to the Counseling Center by Friday, March 16 to see how your name will be printed on your diploma.
Attention National Honor Society Members: Please stop by Room 165, Ms. Penney’s room, to pick up the scholarship candy fundraiser permission slip and candy boxes before school or during extra help this week. Also, Parent/Teacher Conferences are this Thursday, March 15. Sophomores must keep time and donate a baked good. All Juniors and Seniors who have not kept time this year should also keep time this Thursday.
Yearbooks are on sale and supplies are limited. We will need to receive your order by April 30 in order to guarantee you a book. If you have not ordered your yearbook already, please bring cash, check or money order made out to William Floyd High School Yearbook to Room 136 (Mrs. Janowicz) or Room 257 (Dr. Incantalupo) as soon as possible. Attention William Floyd Students in 9th grade through 11th grade: If you are interested in being part of the changes that take place in your grade and in your school, now is the chance to try to become involved. Class Council elections are coming up. Are you interested in being part of your class council? If so, there is a meeting today, March 15 in Room 117 after school. If you cannot make the meeting, please see Ms. Fortier in Room 117 or Ms. LiCavoli-Dean in Room 141.
Are you interested in joining Foreign Language Honor Society? If you are in 9th, 10th and 11th grade and currently enrolled in Spanish or Italian, you can apply by seeing Mr. Robinson in Room 307 or by speaking to your Foreign Language teacher. Applications are due March 27.
There will be a Bible Club Meeting today at 2:10 in Room 243. The Yearbook Picture will be taken today. This is the last chance for the picture to be taken. Please make every effort to attend.
Yesterday, the William Floyd Mock Trial Team eliminated Northport High School in the first knockout round of the New York State Bar Association Mock Trial Tournament.
Next Wednesday, Floyd meets Hampton Bays High School in the Central Islip courts at 3:00. The team bus leaves at 2:10 and spectators are welcome.
This past weekend, 124 William Floyd students participated in the 82nd Youth and Government Conference in Albany. Each and every student-delegate performed extraordinarily well, and we are very proud of them.
