Attention all Juniors: Now is the time to schedule your Junior Conference. This is a great opportunity to meet with your counselor to start discussing your post high school plans and begin the college search process. Please come down to the Counseling Center to schedule your appointment.
Have you started thinking about college and your future plans? If you have, then you should consider attending the William Floyd College and Career Fair that is being held on Tuesday, April 24 from 6:00 to 8:30. With over 100 colleges, universities and career schools that will be in attendance, it is sure to be a great night. We hope to see you there.
Attention Juniors: Don't miss out on your chance to take the SAT at William Floyd High School on Saturday, May 5. The last day to register for the exam is April 25. Students must register for the exam online through the College Board website. For more information or to request fee waivers, please see your Guidance Counselor or Mrs. Matthews in Room 410.
Senior Prom is fast approaching! 3 West will be hosting this year’s Prom Gown Give Away on April 24, 25 and 26 from 1:40 – 3:00 in the Freshman Square right across the hall from the 3 West Office. Come and find a gown, suit, shoes or accessories for the prom!

Please join the William Floyd HS Medical club on Monday, April 23 from 2:15 – 3:15 in Room 245 to help design our club logo and prep for the STEM Symposium. Anyone interested in pursuing a career in a medical or allied health care field is encouraged to come.

Attention Seniors: The senior t-shirt list is posted outside of the 1 West Office and Guidance Office. Please check your name to see if it is on the list and spelled correctly. DO NOT write on the list. If you see something that is incorrect, report to the 1 West Office and inform us of the issue. The lists will be posted until Friday, April 27. These names will appear on your senior t-shirt so be sure to check your name and report any issues.
Attention all writers and other artists! William Floyd High School’s online literary magazine Enigma is ready to launch online, and we are seeking submissions! Get published and be sure to get your creative voice heard. Please bring all submissions to Ms. Andreopoulos in Room 120, or fill out a submission form in your English or Art class.
There will be no Interact Club meeting this week. Our next meeting will be next Thursday April 26. All members should plan to attend.
Attention all 10th grade students: Packets of college and career information will be handed out in your Global Class today. A few key points to keep in mind: It’s never too early to start researching and learning about college and careers, so please come to the College Fair and Career Expo on April 24 at 6pm. Learn what colleges look for in their applicants by speaking with admissions representatives from over 100 colleges that will be present that evening. Also, learn strategies to help pay for college. Attendance, good grades, getting involved are important ingredients for a productive experience in high school. 36 days left of school, work hard, don’t give up! See your school counselor for more information regarding Naviance and the next steps for success.
Yearbooks are on sale, and supplies are limited. We will need to receive your order by April 30 in order to guarantee you a book. If you have not ordered your yearbook already, please bring cash, check or money order made out to William Floyd HS Yearbook to Room 136 or Room 257 as soon as possible. Attention all Students: Super Saturday is back! This year, beginning
May 9, we are adding 3 one hour Regents Readiness Workshops after school from 2:10-3:10 in each content area designed to provide content review, test taking strategies and practice questions.
Students are also invited to join us on Super Saturday, May 12th from 9:00 to 1:00 to engage in a simulated testing environment for the exam of your choice.
Transportation is provided for the 3 Regents Readiness Workshops, however, students must provide their own transportation for Super Saturday.
Space is limited, so sign up as soon as possible. You can sign up by filling out the online form located on the district website or ask a teacher to send it through Remind 101. If you have any questions, please stop by the 1 East Office.
