Please submit all forms in blue or black pen only! Just as students deserve to be recognized, teachers and staff do as well. Please take a moment to stop by any Assistant Principal’s Office to pick up a form to nominate a teacher or staff member who has had an impact on you in a positive way. Please drop off all nominations to the 1 West Office.
Attention all members of the William Floyd Gay-Straight Alliance: Mrs. Searing is looking for volunteers to help make rainbow ribbons for National Coming Out Day on October 11. If you wish to volunteer some time, please see Mrs. Searing in the Counseling Center to schedule a time to help.

Any girl interested in trying out for the Girls Basketball team there will be an informational meeting in Room 206 on Wednesday, October 10 from 2:15 - 3. Important material will be discussed regarding tryouts and expectations for the Girls Basketball team this winter. Any questions or issues please see Coach Sinclair in Room 206.
Attention all Students: Tickets are now on sale for all grades for the Pep Rally and Homecoming Dance in the 2 West and 3 West Offices. Please remember that you must have a valid student ID card to obtain a ticket and to attend. ONLY William Floyd students are permitted to attend these events. Please note that the tickets for the Pep Rally are free and on a first come first serve basis. Tickets are limited so get them while they last! Tickets for the Homecoming Dance will be $5.00. Get your tickets before and after school or during your lunch period or study hall. Students on fall sports teams do not need tickets to the Pep Rally, as the athletic sticker on your id is your ticket.
Attention Seniors: Parking applications are now available in the 1 West, 2 West and 1 East Offices. You must be a graduating senior with class D driver’s license, registration and insurance card to get a parking sticker.
After school math regents prep is a great opportunity to brush up on your skills for your upcoming regents in January and June. Algebra 2 regents review will be in Room 207 today.

Our first History Club meeting is Wednesday, October 17th, during Extra Help in the Rita Rech Museum of William Floyd History, which is located right here in the High School. If you have any questions or concerns, please see your school counselor by Friday, October 12. Official transcripts with class rank should be available by the end of October.

The Varsity Football team made it 5 and 0 on the season by beating Central Islip 47 to 7. This week for homecoming it will be 5 and 0 Floyd against 5 and 0 Ward Melville for first place.
