Socks are among the most needed items at homeless shelters, yet among the least-often donated. According to the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless, in Nassau and Suffolk counties alone, just under 3,000 people were homeless or in transitional/emergency housing in 2017. This year the CDOS students from the Floyd Academy put together a campaign to help the homeless by having the students donate NEW socks. Students can participate by bringing socks for men, women, and children to the High School Main Office and place the new socks in our bin. Our goal is to help spread warmth to the homeless before the cold weather.
Bible Club will meet this Thursday in Room 243 from 2:10 - 3pm. Please bring an item for the basket that we discussed at our last meeting.

On Tuesday, November 13th, Army personnel will conduct a long distance "ruck" from Riverhead to Bayshore, stopping by William Floyd and putting the food on their backs.
