Please take a moment to recognize this act by nominating him/her for student of the month or faculty/staff member of the month. We need nominations for students from 9, 10, 11 and 12 grade. Please submit all forms in blue or black pen only! Just as students deserve to be recognized, teachers and staff do as well. Please take a moment to stop by any Assistant Principal’s Office to pick up a form to nominate a teacher or staff member who has had an impact on you in a positive way. Please drop off all nominations to the 1 West Office.
Attention Seniors: Parking Applications are now available in the 1 West, 2 West and 1 East Offices. You must be a graduating senior with class D driver’s license, registration and insurance card to get a parking sticker.

After school math regents prep is a great opportunity to brush up on your skills for your upcoming regents in January and June. Algebra 1 regents review will be in Room 415 today.
The Boys Cross Country team captured two more League 1 wins on Tuesday defeating Middle Country and Brentwood. The team has a big race this Saturday to improve their chances of gaining a bid to compete in the State Qualifier meet later this month.
Today marks the 30th anniversary of National Coming Out Day. We invite you to take a stand against the discrimination, violence, harassment, and bullying of LGBTQ people by coming out in support of safe spaces where they LIVE, LEARN, WORK, PLAY, and PRAY. Every person who speaks up changes more hearts and minds, and creates new advocates for equality. Ribbons will be handed out by our Gay-Straight Alliance members, and ribbons will also be available at the front desk in Guidance, so be sure to stop by on your way to a class to pick one up to show your support. The William Floyd Community Summit will be hosting its 2nd Annual Broadway Variety Show. Auditions will be held at the Community Library on October 22 and 23 from 3-5pm and October 28 from 12-4pm. All selections must be from a musical. Singers, dancers and actors are all welcome to try out.
