Attention all 10th and 11th grade students: Don’t miss out on your chance to take the PSAT on Saturday, October 13. You can register today and pay for the exam in the High School Main Office. The cost for the exam is $16.00. Checks or money orders should be made payable to the William Floyd School District. The last day to register is Friday, September 28. Please also be aware that the PSAT is on the same day as the Homecoming Game and will cause a conflict if you are in the parade. Contact your school counselor or see Mrs. Matthews in Room 410 if you have any questions.

The Financial Aid Director from St. Joseph’s College will be providing information on the financial aid process.

These meetings are for LGBTQ students and their allies who are looking to meet and create a welcoming environment for everyone. The Girls Volleyball team will be hosting their game against Brentwood this Friday at 4 in the West Gym. Come down and show your school spirit and support the Volleyball Team. Teal colored items will be sold at the game to help support the fight against ovarian cancer. Hope to see you there!
Step Squad Try-Outs will be held on Wednesday, September 26 and Friday, September 28, from 2:15 to 5:00 in the High School Auditorium. You must attend both days in order to be considered for the team. Please wear comfortable loose fitting clothes and sneakers; no jeans, skirts, or dresses. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Fumai in Room 306.
National Honor Society will have their first mandatory meeting on Monday, October 1 in the LGI. All members must attend.
There will be no extra help or after school credit recovery this afternoon due to department meetings. All athletes must report to the West Gym by 1:40. All department meetings will begin at 1:40.
Do you have an overall average above an 80% and an average of 88% or more in your business courses? As long as you plan to take three business courses prior to graduation and are either an active FBLA member or enrolled in a college level business course, we want you to be a member of Business Honor Society! Applications for Business Honor Society are available from Mrs. Cloghessy in Room 152 or can be obtained from any business teacher. To truly distinguish yourself amongst your peers, be sure to pick up your Business Honor Society application as soon as possible. Officer applications are also available now.
September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. The FBLA and the Cosmetology program will be hosting a fundraiser in the Rotunda Friday during lunch periods. Stop by and get a teal human hair extension for $5.00 or purchase a teal colored button or bracelet for $1.00 to support the cause. T Shirts will also be available for $10.00.
