PE Credit Recovery is cancelled today.

There will be a Student Government meeting tomorrow, November 15, during 4th period in the Auditorium. Please wear your Student Government shirt and check in with your teachers for any missing work.

There will be a Stony Brook STEP meeting today in Room 228 from 1:37 - 3:10. We will be going over community service opportunities and the STEAM Symposium. ​ All students interested in community service must attend.

There will be NO Extra Help and NO Credit Recovery on Thursday, November 15.

Socks are among the most needed items at homeless shelters, yet among the least-often donated. According to the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless, in Nassau and Suffolk counties alone, just under 3,000 people were homeless or in transitional/emergency housing in 2017.  This year the CDOS students from the Floyd Academy put together a campaign to help the homeless by having the students donate NEW socks.  Students can participate by bringing socks for men, women, and children to the High School Main Office and place the new socks in our bin. Our goal is to help spread warmth to the homeless before the cold weather.

For all student interested in Mock Trial: There will be a meeting for all those interested in trying out for the High School Mock Trial team on Wednesday, November 14 at 2:10 in Room 147.  Tryout procedures will be explained and you will receive materials for your tryout.  Tryouts will be held in the High School Library on Saturday, November 17 starting at 9:30am.  In order to try-out you must attend the meeting at 2:10pm on Wednesday, November 14 in Room 147.

Attention all Seniors:  Do you need help filling out your college applications?  Please join us for Apps and Snacks in the Senior Café on Tuesday, December 4th.  The counselors will be assisting and guiding you on your college process.  If you are interested, you must sign up in the Counseling Center.  Light snacks will be provided.

Who needs a trip to the city to enjoy Broadway's best musical numbers when you can come to the William Floyd Middle School on Saturday November 17th at 6pm.  Talented Floyd performers will be putting on hits from Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton, and Wicked just to name a few. Tickets to be sold at the door for $5. See you there!

For all boys and girls interested in playing Winter Tennis: Please pick up registration forms in the Athletic Office.

Attention all Students and Staff: The last day we will be collecting for the Thanksgiving Food Drive is Thursday, November 15, 2018.  Please bring in non-perishable food items to your 2nd period class. Let’s work together to bring holiday cheer!

 Attention all Juniors and Seniors: Washington College will be in the Senior Café today from 9:45 to 10:30am.  Mount Saint Mary College will be in the Senior Café tomorrow from 9:00 to 12:30pm.  Anyone interested may stop by and speak with the representative.

It is starting to get cold out and some students and staff may be in need of a warm coat.  The Cosmetology students are sponsoring an on-going coat drive.  Our motto: Have a Coat, Leave a Coat.  Need a Coat, take a Coat.  The coat rack is located by the South Lobby.

After school math regents prep is a great opportunity to brush up on your skills for your upcoming regents in January and June.  

Geometry regents review will be in Room 223 today.

Attention all Students: Do you need Community Service hours?  You can earn 4 hours by volunteering to help at Parent/Teacher Conferences Thursday, November 29.  The hours are 4:30 to 8:30. You must pick up a permission slip in the 2 West Office as soon as possible.
