Attention all students: Are you interested in attending the Pep Rally and Homecoming Dance? Tickets for these events will go on sale at the 2 West and 3 West offices beginning Friday, October 13th. This year, we will have a ticket pre-sale for seniors ONLY on Thursday, October 12th. Seniors: you do not want to miss out on your last chance to attend. Please remember that you must have a valid student ID card to obtain a ticket and to attend. ONLY William Floyd students are permitted to attend these events. Please note that the tickets for the Pep Rally are free and on a first come first serve basis. Tickets are limited so get them while they last! Tickets for the Homecoming Dance will be $3.00. Get your tickets before and after school or during your lunch period.
The Varsity Football team made it 5 and 0 on the season by beating Commack 34 to 6. This Saturday at 2pm there will be a battle between the two 5 and 0 teams when Floyd plays Lindenhurst at home. We hope to see you there!
Do you need some help getting ready for a math regent’s exam? Regent’s exam prep sessions are running after school, weekly. Algebra I sessions will run every Monday in Room 306 and Thursdays in room 415. Geometry sessions will be held every Wednesday in Room 223 and Algebra II sessions will be on Fridays in Room 207.
On Thursday, the Varsity Field Hockey team scored another victory in the teams best season in years with a 2-0 win over Pat-Med.
Please come out and support the team on Thursday for our final home game of the season.

Any girls interested in playing basketball this winter: There is a mandatory meeting in Room 418 this Wednesday, 10/11 from 2:15-3:00pm. Important information regarding tryouts and scheduling for the 2017-18 basketball season will be discussed. Please make every effort to attend. See Coach Sinclair in Room 418 with any questions.
Attention all Research and STEP students: If you are conducting any type of research on the Forge River, please see either Ms. Swiss or Mrs. Hernandez for a field trip permission slip. The permission slip will be due before extra help on October 11th. During extra help on October 11th, there will be a mandatory meeting for all students attending the trip, in Room 228.

The award winning William Floyd Robotics Team is looking for new members, hosting our first meeting on Wednesday, October 11th, from 2:10 to 3:10 in Room 229. No prior knowledge is needed.
