Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Gymnastics Team on a huge 124-107 victory over Copiague yesterday.  It has been a true team effort to set new team highs every meet.  Keep up the great work girls and good luck Thursday.

There will be open mats tonight October 17th for all interested in wrestling this year. This is for grades 6-12. High School wrestlers there is just 27 days to the start of the season.  Bring a partner to work out with.

                                 The William Floyd Golf Team won its match vs Center Moriches by a score of 8 to 1.  Congratulations to the entire team.

                                                                     There will be no Credit Recovery on Thursday (10/19) or Friday (10/20).

Attention all Seniors:  Adelphi University will be in the Sr. Café today from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.  Anyone interested may stop by and speak with the representative.

Attention Seniors: Your unofficial transcript is available for your review on the parent portal this week only.  Please take the time to review your transcript.  If you have any questions or concerns, please see your School Counselor this week.  Official transcripts with class rank should be available by the end of October.

Attention Student Government Members.  There is a meeting this Wednesday, October 18th during 4th period in the auditorium.  Please arrive promptly.  Please see Ms. Fortier or Ms. LiCavoli if you are unable to attend.

Attention homecoming king and queen candidates.  There is a mandatory meeting Wednesday, October 18th during extra help in Room 117.

Attention all students. Homecoming tickets are sold out!

Please remember that you must have a valid student ID card to attend these events.  ONLY William Floyd students are permitted to attend.

Please join us at the Homecoming Parade at 12:00pm and stay for the football game. William Floyd vs. Sachem East at 2:00pm.

Did one of your students or a staff member do something wonderful this past month?  Please take a moment to recognize this act by nominating him/her for student member of the month or faculty member of the month.

We need nominations for students from 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade.  Please submit all forms in blue or black pen only!

Just as students deserve to be recognized, teachers do as well.  Please take a moment to stop by any Assistant Principal’s office to pick up a form to nominate a teacher who has had an impact on you in a positive way.

Please drop off all nominations to the 1 West office.

Do you need some help getting ready for a math regents exam? Regent’s exam prep sessions are running after school weekly. Algebra I sessions will run every Monday in Room 306 and Thursdays in Room 415. Geometry sessions will be held every Wednesday in Room 223 and Algebra II sessions will be on Fridays in Room 207.

On Thursday, November 16th Suffolk County Community College will be in the Counseling Center for Onsite Admissions.  For more information on how to participate see your guidance counselor! Don’t miss out on this opportunity!
