Hispanic Heritage month is from September 15th to October 15th. Today, we recognize César Chávez. César Chávez was a Mexican-American labor leader and civil rights activist who co-founded the United Farm Workers (UFW). He dedicated his life to improving working conditions for farmworkers through nonviolent means, fighting for better wages and dignity

Attention Students with a Class D License: Parking applications are now available in the 1 West, 2 West and 1 East Offices. You must have a Class D driver’s license, registration and insurance card to get a Parking Sticker. Remember, students are not permitted to park in the North Lot, in a reserved parking spot in the South Lot, or in any of the surrounding schools’ parking lots.

Thursday, September 18th: Sunset Colors: Brighten the halls in shades of orange, pink, purple, and gold.
Friday, September 19th: Floyd Friday: Show your school pride in Floyd gear or school colors!
Homecoming dance will be held on Friday, September 19th, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Dance tickets for Seniors and Juniors only are available today, Monday, September 15th, during lunch in the senior café, periods 3-8 and during extra help in the auditorium. All grades: Dance tickets will be available Tuesday, September 16th, and Wednesday, September 17th, during extra help in the auditorium until we run out of tickets. The cost of the Dance tickets is $10.00 each.
Homecoming King and Queen Nominations open today and will close at 2:15p this Wednesday, September 17th. Please head to the student government Instagram page where you will find a link to a Google form to cast your vote. To vote, you must use your William Floyd email.

Congratulations to the William Floyd Navy Junior ROTC Orienteering team who won 2nd place in our division during this weekend's competition. Not only was this the first competition of the season, it was also the first time many of our cadets competed in orienteering.
