Pediatrics

Department of Pediatrics is one of the important clinical branches in the school. Students learn pediatric skills along their fourth, fifth and sixth year in the school. They should master pediatric emergencies, diagnosis and management of common pediatric diseases, growth and development of children and preventive Pediatrics.

Lectures in large halls are 60 hours in 4th year and 60 hours in fifth year. Clinical skills are learned in the Pediatric Hospital in small groups, 5 weeks course during the 4th year to learn basic skills in history taking and clinical examination of children. Ambulatory pediatrics in the 5th year over 3 weeks course and 8 weeks courses during the sixth year to tackle most pediatric cases and problems.
