Update 16 - 19 September, 2019

Message from the Board of Trustees
Kia ora koutou Stonefields whānau!
It’s good to see strong community engagement thus far in 2019, with a successful disco for our tamariki, and tomorrow night’s wine and cheese event. The Board would like to take the opportunity to thank FOSS for their time, effort and extraordinary organisational skills. We hope the community continues to get behind FOSS community engagement events, and supports (and even joins!) the team. To contact FOSS please email them on foss@stonefields.school.nz

We had the privilege of hearing from some of our fabulous teachers at our recent Board meeting. One of the Board’s key strategic goals is around supporting learning design that increases learner agency and lifts student achievement. You can be assured that the staff ‘agency team’ are getting stuck into this challenge, and are currently designing a Graduate Profile and a tool for helping teachers build their capacity in rich learning design. Click here to view the School's latest strategic plan.

Finally, many thanks to the 316 parents who completed the Community Survey which closed yesterday, with a 66% response rate. We will update you with the results and our response in the weeks to come.

We have come to the end of our netball season. We've been really excited to see the number of learners playing netball increase this year to 12 teams. A huge thank you to all of our coaches, managers and supporters who have been there with our teams through all the early morning training and wet and windy games. We really do appreciate your time and enthusiasm and wouldn't be able to provide the opportunity for so many of our learners to play without your support. Keep an eye on the Communication Update towards the end of Term 4 for information about next year.
