February 14, 2023 Dedham PTF Meeting Notes

5:30pm School 

1.   Attendance / sign-in Meeting called to order @ 5:31

Members Present: Jody Butiilier, Hollie Stanwood, Jerry Troger, Jeff Paul, Madeline (Need Last Name)

2.   Approval of December (No Jan meeting) Minutes

  Motion to accept: JB.  2nd HS 

There was no January meeting due to snow and rescheduling conflicts.

Unanimous approval

3. Treasurer’s Report

Checking balance: $ 9,772.65 (once approve items paid, balance will be around $6,600)

Scrip Saving balance: $ 2,193.41

4. Frozen Projector-all set to borrow from Husson College. 

5. T-shirts / Teacher Appreciation Week

JB priced out the Tshirts 16 / shirt @ 700  RR Creations Maine

The group felt this was a very reasonable price

Motion By HS 2nd by JT

Unanimous approval to move forward with purchase

Discussion of a Surprise and delight for teachers  March 15th

HS to email volunteers Madeline to bake along with others

6. Request of funds

8th grade Ice Fishing Trip: Tim Pearson-up to $250

Motion by JB 2nd by JP

 Unanimous approval

7.  Next Few Months:  There was a general discussion about turning the Color Run and a Spring dance into a joint endeavor with K and 1st Grade teachers every year.  We would like to secure sponsorship and have it be as easily renewable for future years.  

8. Spring Family Dance @ Lucerne Inn-pick a day- -April 1st immediately stood out as a potential date. Jennifer Soucek has been emailing PTF about organizing a Spring Dance with other parents

      9. Spring Fling Color Run- -JT to Reach out to Goodwin and Nickerson  to have the color run & Dance  an annual event

10. April-Frozen(April 8th)-set out a donation jar@play and sell frozen themed  snacks?

11.  New member recruitment JERRY EMAIL K & First Grade.
