Rawhide Ranch was an “overnight success.”

Archery, rock climbing, animal care & animal science AND horseback riding were all part of the amazing experience.

Cosmetology /Barber workshop with TNN Beauty

TNN Beauty met with groups of students to discuss both the barber & cosmetology industry.

It was hands-on & informative for all.

YMCA Swim Lessons
Starting soon!

Open to both MGM & AVHS Students.

Students will also earn PE credits.

Internship Placements:

We had multiple students earn internship opportunities with the City of Vista Public Works, Garden 31, City of Vista Fire Department.We also have students pursuing internships at EES Preschools throughout the district.

2025 internships coming- mobile welding, personal trainer, hvac, pet sitting, barbershop, culinary and more.

Upcoming: VCC Medical Unit at MGM- March 27th, 2025 from 12-6pm

The mobile medical unit will be on campus for our students & community.

Don't miss the Wave Waterpark Job Fair on Saturday, March 8th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This is a great opportunity to explore potential job openings!

Job Corps Tour Opportunity
On March 28th, we will have a Job Corps Tour, a program designed to help students prepare for jobs and apprenticeships. This is an excellent resource for those looking to jumpstart their careers.

A BETTER PLACE IN VISTA

"Making the world a better place" is the motto of the Sallie A. Hunt Foundation. Through her contributions to providing tennis shoes for students, the foundation certainly fulfills its goal in the Vista community.

Once again, Sallie A. Hunt, the founder of the nonprofit organization, has managed to elicit smiles of happiness from students and words of thanks from the parents of Murray High School, as you can see in the photos and videos we share with them.

Major General Raymond Murray High School is committed to preparing students to progress academically, to achieve success, and to accept responsibility for themselves. As a part of this commitment, the school has established attendance performance guidelines for all students.

To report an absence please call: (760) 631-2502 ext.89005

Leave a message and be sure to include the following:

Date of the absence
Your child's name
Date of birth and/or Grade
Reason for the absence
Your name, relation to the student, and a callback number

When a student returns to school following an absence, the parent/guardian has 72 hours (3 school days) to notify the school with the reason for the absence and to turn in any medical verification for medical appointments. Any student with 10 excused absences verified by phone calls will be required to provide a written explanation for all future absences. This verification must be written by the appropriate professional on his/her letterhead, addressing the medical, and legal or bereavement reasons. Medical & dental notes may be emailed to carololiver@vistausd.org or faxed to 760-631-2503.

If it upsets your student, makes them feel unsafe, or affects their safety at school, let us know.

It is a secure, anonymous, and confidential safety tip line.
You do not have to provide your name unless you want to. The report will be forwarded to
the proper staff to help resolve the situation.

Reminder: Tips are only monitored during your school's operational hours. If this is an emergency or your student or someone you know is in danger or harm's way, please call 911 immediately.
