Emmanuel is a responsible, respectful, and kind young man. He is a hard worker and puts others before himself. He has a quiet confidence that will allow him to push himself and make his way in life. Every Friday he is an outstanding mentor to Bobier students. He has a calm personality that the elementary students admire.. Additionally on Fridays before Murray starts he visits his sister at her elementary school and helps with reading. Not only is he an excellent mentor to younger students, but also to his peers. He has started an internship with a media company and attends events where he is learning film editing and conducting interviews with event guests. This is in addition to his regular job. He definitely goes after things in life.
Community Liaison
Murray High School parents made a beautiful present and sent surprise messages to the students, hoping they would enjoy them, which happened little by little during the previous two days. On February 14, Valentine;s Day, we could see many faces of happiness in the young. Several students quickly caught the spirit of Valentine’s Day. They began to fill the school with craft hearts and such affection reached the administration staff, who received envelopes with messages of thanks.! Thanks, dear students!
Erika Maldonado, Rosalba Gonzalez and Leticia Aquino are the mothers who put all their effort into creating a photo booth to provide a wonderful Valentine’s Day to all Murray High School students. In the pictures you can appreciate their hard work and how they had fun, too.
Teachers, students, volunteers, and the entire Murray community had the opportunity to take photos in the photo booth to have a memory in their hearts of this great Valentine’s Day.
Evan & Ethan Rivera receiving their Valentine's Day message.
Brandon Gonzalez is motivated to read the message for another student.
Anthony Hernandez was surprised by his mother's message.
The benefits of the plants
There are people who consider growing plants as a hobby that embellish their homes, others as the option to harvest their own vegetables at home and make sure they are free of pesticides. However, plants give humans the ability to develop a deeper connection.
Some studies indicate that plants give a sense of well-being, tranquility and joy to people and, possibly, these are the reasons why some people talk to them.
Undoubtedly, spending time in the garden is an excellent activity, where all people of different ages have the opportunity to spend time together, learn from their care and its medicinal benefits. And if you do this activity with your loved ones, these moments will be an indelible part of your family history.

Are you ready to lose weight this year ?
Join the Parents in Action Club, who have already started using the Murray High School gym to change their figure or improve their health.
These parents have benefited from multifunctional machines, meaning that when exercising with a machine, they can use them to work various parts of the body. If you need to be instructed on these, Mr. David Henry will be there to help you.
If you have already decided to have a healthier life, the first thing you should do is to register with Susana Valenzuela, the Community Liaison, through email MariaValenzuelaqui@vistausd.org or call her at (760) 631-2502 extension 89008.
Afterward, attend the gym every morning, Monday to Friday from 7 am to 8 am or Thursday afternoon from 4 pm to 7 pm.
And you know what’s best about it? You don’t have to pay to use the gym!
If your talent and desire to learn an instrument are beyond you, don’t wait any longer and sign up for music lessons to learn how to play metal drums.
