To get to a student’s profile in Navigate, you will want to enter their S# in the search bar at the top of the screen.
At the top of a student’s profile, there is a set of tabs you can click on to access the information you need. The overview, history, courses, and appointments tabs will be most useful for Wolf Central staff:
The Overview tab will show a student’s academic program, major history (if they have multiple majors or changed their major), and their classification.
Further down on the overview page there are two sections – Categories and Tags. Categories will show things like the student’s assigned campus, if they are a first generation student or veteran and their assigned campus. The Tags section will have notes for things like having their FAFSA on file for a specific academic year.
The History tab will show a list of appointment notes and check-ins. This tab can be helpful to check and see if a student has previously met with an academic advisor or if they ask for the name of the financial aid staff member they met with last.
The Courses tab will show you the courses a student is enrolled in for the current semester. It also lists the time, location, and professor for the class. There is a drop-down menu above the course listings that will allow you to select a different term.
The Appointments tab will list upcoming and recent appointments the student has scheduled. If you are looking for appointments with a specific department, you can use the Care Unit drop down to filter appointment types.
The right side panel, which can be accessed from any of the tabs, has additional important information.
The Student Info section will show the student’s birthday, address, email and phone number.
The Your Success Team section will show who the student’s assigned Academic Advisor is. If they have any other assigned support person, like a Veteran Success Coach or instructor, that will show as well. Guest students will be assigned to Kendra O’Brien instead of an Academic Advisor. If this section is blank, that student hasn’t been assigned to an advisor yet.
