Homeschooled or self-pay students will go through the regular enrollment process.
High school students that want to get started in Concurrent Enrollment must get in contact with their high school counselor.
If high school student is home schooled – they will need to get in contact with their "home school"
ASCENT & TREP, and PTECH – in 5th & 6th years – students are to be treated like any college student
They need to have approval through their district to be in the program.
If they are not already in connection with their district, please see the list below
They have already filled out the ASCENT application with their high school first; FRCC does not manage ASCENT or TREP applications or program admissions.
Below information needs to be confirmed before advising student
CURRENT Concurrent Enrollment w/ hold on account
Ask if they are "Campus Select" (aka taking classes on FRCC Campus through their HS); if student is "High School Select" only, then the holds remain on their account until CE registers them in Banner.
Use SGASTDN to confirm "High School" student type and SOAHOLD to view holds for "Campus Select."
If so, they need to go to their affiliated CE campus microsite, BCC, LC, or WC and review Campus Select steps to complete (CE microsite > Programs > Campus Select).
Their registration holds will be lifted within 24-48 hours & they will receive a “Welcome to Campus Select” email.
Reminder to look at To and From dates on the holds since the hold start dates are postdated to the Spring HS grad year, i.e. 5/2026, 5/2027, etc. And the end date remains the same of 12/2099.
ASCENT (included in workflow):
General questions about ASCENT (how to apply, requirements, etc) go to general line:
970-204-8370 or lcce@frontrange.edu (Poudre, Thompson Valley, north eastern slope)
BCC.CE@frontrange.edu or (Boulder Valley Schools, St. Vrain, north western slope)
WCCE@frontrange.edu or 303-404-5089 (Adams, Brighton, Denver, Jefferson County, Westminster, many Online HS and the great metro area)
They should not be directed to CN representatives.
ASCENT students/applicants should schedule an NSA appointment and otherwise follow the normal student processes
You should still verify if they are active in SGASTDN
Contact for ASCENT tuition coverage/payment questions is the originating district (see contacts)
