Graduation Questions We May Receive:

· Not sure if ready to graduate?
o Meet with advisor

· Students need to fill out RSVP for how many tickets They must include a ticket for themselves!
o For Denver Coliseum they get 8 tickets
o For Blue Area they get 5 tickets
· More tickets
o Max has 4 additional tickets
· If they applied for a degree or certificate ask again for clarification
o Degree Registrar will confirm
o Certificates, Registrar will not
· Want to graduate in Summer but applied in Spring
o They will be “disapproved”
· Duplicate application
o The application will be deleted. Please email graduation@frontrange.edu instead of submitting twice.

· If they transfer from another college to FRCC – must complete 25% of the degree at FRCC.
o For a 60 credit program (2 year degree) need to complete 15 credits
· What catalog to use?
o If a current student – will use the catalog when they first started with FRCC
o If a student took classes and left, then came back after a year will use the current catalog.
· If lost diploma/certificate
o Can get another one printed from iparchment ($25)
o All certificates are $25 each

· If a student owes money
o They will still graduate

· Applications – hard deadlines – no wiggle room

o may take a bit of time 2-3 weeks to process – not a guarantee approval
· If the student sees “disapproved” on unofficial transcript
o Only if they applied prior to the semester of actual graduating
o Will NOT show up on official transcripts
· Apply for Spring or Summer?
o Do not apply for spring if they are completing courses in the summer – just to walk in the spring. They need to RSVP for commencement (NOT graduation)
· What will be announced during commencement?
o Their preferred name and the one main certificate and degree
· How many applications for certificates and degrees?
o Fill out an application for each certificate/degree separately.
· · How do you get your cords?
o If you earned honors cords, then it will say on your card once you get to the event.
o When you check in at the event, the check in table will give you the cords at that time.
o Other cords you need to personally order.
· When should I apply for graduation?
o The actual semester you plan to be completely done.
· If a student needs to cancel their commencement contact hello@gradpak.com and they will reset the student's information for a different year

· If you graduate from a program then they will be identified as declared after that they can put in for another program.
· Certificates will not receive cords
· Are there gowns that can be loaned?
o Yes, it will be a check box on the RSVP.
Tim Mellon will be sending out a schedule for what days a student will be able to pick up.
o Student Life will be giving those out – they are dry cleaned
o Everyone (that is borrowing a gown) will get a free cap and tassel.
· If you ordered a cap and gown, it will be shipped to your house on April 16th.
Expectations during the ceremony is in the FAQs “Do I need to stay for the entire ceremony?”
· DWD – Degree with Designation
o Need exception with the instructor
· RSVP deadline is May 1st but tickets may be sold out before
· Substitution & Exception Requests:
o AAS or Certificates: Course Substitutions submitted by Faculty
o AS w/ no Designation, AA w/ no Designation, AGS, or AES Degrees: Graduation Exception Request. Advisors, Students, & Graduation can Initiate
o AS & AA Degrees with Designation: DWD Graduation Exception Request, must be signed by the student.
· May 14th campus services will be closed at 12p
· Clear bag policy at both events
· May 4th will open to extra tickets to people that were on the waitlist.
o The student can request extra tickets on their RSVP
If student already put in their RSVP but wants to add more tickets, log back in and request
If student has "extra" tickets but no longer needs, please email hello@gradpak.com
If the student is coming back from a previous semester and their program is no longer earned, then they will need to find another program.
Never declared a program but taking classes, now certificate/degree closed and the student can't complete the program.
If undeclared but try to graduate with a program, they need to wait, declare before the census date.
Any degree changes need to be by census date (the main drop date).
Caps & Gown: can no longer order at bookstore but can order from home and pick up at bookstore.
If person walks in Spring but completes classes in Summer, their name will show up in the next years commencement booklet.
If a child is sitting on a lap, they don't need a ticket. Typically 2 or younger they do not need a ticket.
No childcare on site.
They have the wrong event (Blue Arena vs. Denver Coliseum)
They can't log into their account
Can't get their tickets printed
Wrong pronunciation

Needs to be done by May 1st
DWD Degree With Designation exception request - the course needs to match within reason.
If a student is having trouble RSVP-ing, then have them email commencement@frontrange.edu
How many credits can a student take over the summer to walk in ceremony?
Student will need to have 6 credits or less but there are some programs that have more credits (ie. programs that have internships or apprenticeships that may be more than 6 credits, they will still be able to walk)
