Allie Novak

TW: Drugs, Child Abuse, Sexual Abuse
Spoilers: Wentworth Season 4-9

Basics

Name: Allie Novak

Age: 25-35

Gender & Pronouns: Cis-woman, she/her
Orientation: Homoromantic & Pansexual

(She would generally label herself as a lesbian but while her sexual orientation has a very strong preference for women, it is not entirely exclusively women)

Nationality: Australian

Occupation: Sex Worker
Education: Did not complete high-school

Allie's father kicked her out as a young teenager when he found out she was gay. Sleeping down alleys and in doorways, she turned to sex work to get by, her father's discovery of which ended a very brief return to living under his roof and severed their relationship entirely.

She was taken in by Marie Winter, one of the most successful brothel owners in the area who (more than a decade older than Allie) entered into a relationship with her. She introduced Allie to heroin use, increasing the teenager's dependency on her, and having her work for her.

She met Kaz Proctor at a women's shelter that the older woman was volunteering at. She was kind to Allie, took her in and under her wing, and over time got her away from Marie and got her clean.

When Kaz formed the Red Right Hand, a vigilante group of women who attacked men who had harmed women and got away with it, Allie found catharsis in punishing those men, and men like those, who had hurt her in the past. Eventually, however, the majority of the group — Allie and Kaz included — were arrested.

Kaz, in an attempt to protect Allie from Bea (who she does not trust due to her incorrect belief that she was the reason the the Red Right Hand were arrested), suggests to Bea that Allie was the 'bait' in the attempt on her life. Bea's belief of this helps to drive Allie back towards drug use.

Very shortly following her and Bea's reconciliation, Allie is ambushed while alone in the showers. Joan Ferguson overpowers her and injects her with what she expects to be a lethal dose of heroin.

Allie falls into a coma that she is not expected to recover from. Grieving, Bea confronted Ferguson and dying just before Allie does awake from the coma.

Once released from hospital, Allie returns to prison with the sole goal of killing Joan Ferguson in retribution for Bea's death.

Allie pretends to have relapsed but is actually accumulating a lethal dose of heroin, that she uses to try to kill Ferguson. The other woman successfully defends herself though.

She joins Franky in a plan to escape but is caught preparing by a guard. The only way that she can ensure Franky's chance to get out and clear her name is to make a deal — Ferguson takes Allie's place in the escape and the guard doesn't stop Franky's escape.

When Marie Winter is sent to Wentworth Correctional Centre on remand, she manipulates Allie back to her side. It drives a wedge between Allie and Kaz — their relationship rocky when Kaz (the new Top Dog), is unexpectedly murdered.

Allie is still grieving for Kaz when she becomes one of the many prisoners taken hostage during a siege orchestrated by Marie in an attempt to escape. It is discovered that Kaz was killed by Sean Brody (a guard and one of Marie's accomplices), who Allie shoots later during the siege.

Following the events of the siege, Marie was ousted as Top Dog (having taken over after Kaz's death), to be replaced by Allie. She faces rivalry for the title from Lou Kelly, a previous Top Dog who returned to the prison.

During the course of her tenure, Allie discovers that another inmate, Judy Bryant, both stole money from Lou and was part of an assault on the prison's General Manager.

In order to stop her sharing what she knows, Judy attacks Allie. She stabs her in the shoulders and spine, before leaving her to bleed out.

In spite of Judy's intent and expectations, Allie survived the stabbing. The damage to her spine, however, was permanent — Allie having lost her legs' motor and sensory function.

Bridgerton

Allie was born into a middle-class family, but her father's descent into alcohol addiction and gambling debts plunged them into financial ruin. His reckless behaviour and neglect left Allie with no support when their family home was finally lost to eviction. Homeless, desperate, and under the influence of Marie Winter, a brothel owner, she turned to sex work as her only means of survival. Marie introduced her to laudanum (an opiate tincture), and Allie's addiction made her dependent on Marie, who used this leverage for control.

Doctor Who

In the Undercity of New New York, Allie is addicted to mood drugs. Surviving the Bliss outbreak, Allie tries to work towards recovery, but the familiarity of using mood-altering substances as a coping mechanism is deeply ingrained in her. Engaged in sex work for survival, Allie navigates a limited clientele and financial stress. The prevalence of substance use among clients creates additional challenges, and the allure of mood-altering substances as payment tests her resolve.

The Handmaid's Tale

Allie is forcibly transitioned from prison life to become a Handmaid, deemed a gender traitor and a sinner. Derek Channing (having worked into the role of a Commander within Gilead), requests Allie as his Handmaid. His 'use' of Allie is not restricted to monthly Ceremonies, but is a consistent feature in her posting at his household. He is a frequent patron at Jezebels, at times taking Allie with him.Joan Ferguson, having secured herself the position of Aunt, ruthlessly enforces Gilead's rules. Allie, nursing a deep desire for revenge against Joan, attempts to kill her. She fails and Joan takes the lead on the punishment for her attempt. The torture that Joan inflicts upon Allie is physical, psychological and sexual. Joan revels in the infliction of pain, humiliation and degradation.Marie Winter, now positioned as an influential Aunt and overseer of Gilead's state-sanctioned brothels, orchestrates Allie transition into the Jezebel establishment. Gilead's authorities, including Channing, agreeing that Allie is no longer suitable for her role as a Handmaid. Allie ends up using drugs as a coping mechanism, a weakness that Marie exploits by providing her with them (under the guise of care), making Allie further dependent on her.

The Magicians

Allie is a psychic and was found by Marie Winter, a powerful Hedge Witch. Marie runs her safe house in conjunction with brothels. Non-magicians pay in the brothels with money, magicians pay with spells.

Once Upon A Time

Allie's life was upended by one of the Evil Queen's curses, leaving her homeless and alone. Forced to fend for herself, Allie found a means of survival in the Enchanted Forest's Red-Light District (which attracts a wide range of fairy tale characters, from heroes and villains to magical beings). Allie is a human worker in this district, alongside mystical creatures like fairies, enchantresses, and shape-shifters.

Succubus

In her early adolescence, Allie's succubus powers start to manifest. She feeds on the chi and sexual energy of both humans and other Fae. During the time that she was homeless, Allie encountered Marie, a Fae who recognises Allie's succubus nature. Marie takes Allie under her wing, becoming her mentor whilst exploiting Allie's vulnerability to manipulate her into working in one of her brothels. Her powers include a seductive charm that can enthral those around her, heightened strength and speed, and the ability to feed on the life force, or chi, of others. Allie, having developed a chi addiction, became considerably easier to control by Marie as a result. When Allie displeases her, Marie restricts Allie's access to chi, leaving her in a state of withdrawal, which is physically and emotionally agonizing for Allie. Marie then switches tactics to keep Allie close. She will force Allie to overfeed on her chi, so that she experiences a powerful 'high' from feeding on Marie, which reinforces her dependency on both the chi and Marie herself.Seeking refuge from Marie's control, Allie discovers a supernatural safe haven for Fae and supernatural beings. There, she meets Kaz, a prominent figure within the safe haven, who becomes her mentor and protector. Kaz provides guidance on controlling her succubus abilities and navigating the supernatural community. She later joins the Red Right Hand, a vigilante group seeking justice against those who harm Fae

Supernatural Bordello

In a world where supernatural beings exist, Allie works in a supernatural bordello which caters to a diverse clientele of vampires, werewolves, witches, and other creatures. The bordello serves as a neutral ground where different supernatural factions come to unwind and seek companionship. Allie's journey into the supernatural bordello began during a period of extreme vulnerability and desperation. Homeless and struggling to survive, she encountered a mysterious woman named Marie Winter. Marie offered her shelter and protection and introduced Allie to the supernatural realm, convincing her to work in the bordello as a way to survive and find stability. Clients include vampires who pay for her companionship and the opportunity to drink her blood (some of whom struggle to control their cravings), as well as werewolves, witches, and other beings.  Some curious humans also visit out of intrigue or to explore their own desires related to the supernatural.
