Peer Support Worker — an inmate who acts as a go-between for the other women and the staff, working in their interests
Red Right Hand — a vigilante group of women (formed by Kaz Proctor) inspired by Bea Smith, who attacked men who got away with abusing women
Screws — slang term that inmates use for the prison guards
Slot — solitary confinement cells
Top Dog — the inmate with authority over the other women, new inmates take over either by challenging the existing Top Dog to a shiv fight, or winning a popular vote of the inmates
