Bad Product Ideas

what

This pages presents what many people would consider to be "bad product ideas." Yet for any of us to know about these products someone, perhaps many people, had to approve them from conception to branding to packaging to selling. Each one of these ideas (likely) has a kernel of some value proposition hidden in it somewhere. The trick is to find the value proposition and then re(pro)position the product.

If you want to find that hidden value proposition ask your students to create a pitch for one of these products. They will find it. If you want to make that value proposition even better, have your students apply the SCAMPER framework to the product features and benefits.
