Question: Can a tick transmit hepatitis to a human through a bite?

Answer: We don't know for sure. A number of Maryland patients have been infected with tick borne diseases, and at the same time tested positive for hepatitis as well. We know ticks can be infected with hepatitis and it has been transmitted to animals in studies.
