How Are They Different?

One newly developed IGeneX ImmunoBlot test is for Lyme (Borreliosis), the other is for Tick Borne Relapsing Fever (Borrelia TBRF).

The IGeneX ImmunoBlot for Borrelia burgdorferi detects antibodies to EIGHT different species (listed below). The IGeneX ImmunoBlot for Relapsing Fever detects antibodies to FOUR different species (listed below).

Regular Western Blots only detect antibodies to ONE species.

IGeneX Lyme ImmunoBlot

Lyme ImmunoBlot- Made from recombinant proteins of several species of Borrelia burgdorferi. Detects antibodies to following B. burgdorferi sensu lato species.
