John 3:3-8
The Spirit gives birth to spirit
3In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again."
4"How can a man be born when he is old?" Nicodemus asked. "Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!"
5Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.' 8The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."
John 14:15-31
Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit
15"If you love me, you will obey what I command. 16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever— 17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. 18I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him."
22Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, "But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?"
23Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. 24He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.
25"All this I have spoken while still with you. 26But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.27Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
28"You heard me say, 'I am going away and I am coming back to you.' If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. 29I have told you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe. 30I will not speak with you much longer, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold on me, 31but the world must learn that I love the Father and that I do exactly what my Father has commanded me.
"Come now; let us leave.
John 15:26-27
26"When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, he will testify about me. 27And you also must testify, for you have been with me from the beginning.
Mark 5:35-43
Jesus Resurrects a Dead Girl
35 While Jesus was still speaking, some people came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. “Your daughter is dead,” they said. “Why bother the teacher anymore?”
36 Overhearing what they said, Jesus told him, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.”
37 He did not let anyone follow him except Peter, James and John the brother of James. 38 When they came to the home of the synagogue leader, Jesus saw a commotion, with people crying and wailing loudly. 39 He went in and said to them, “Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep.” 40 But they laughed at him.
After he put them all out, he took the child’s father and mother and the disciples who were with him, and went in where the child was. 41 He took her by the hand and said to her, “Talitha koum!” (which means “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”). 42 Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). At this they were completely astonished. 43 He gave strict orders not to let anyone know about this, and told them to give her something to eat.

Wisdom from the Spirit
9However, as it is written:
"No eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him"— 10but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.
The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.11For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. 13This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.14The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment:
16"For who has known the mind of the Lord
that he may instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ.
Jesus tell His Disciples that He would send them a Counselor, the Holy Spirit, an Advocate of Truth after He ascends into heaven...After it is sent to them, this Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit, the Counselor would be with them forever...That means the Holy Spirit, this Counselor was not with them at the time of Jesus' telling them this...Only after He leaves, would the Holy Spirit be sent to them...The Holy Spirit is a life-giving power of God that gives us strength, and will be able to resurrect us from our physical bodies, when we die...It seems, as I stated earlier, that the Holy Spirit was not with them prior to there meeting Jesus, and would not be with them until after His resurrection and His ascension to the right hand of God...
Why I think that this separation and the Holy Spirit being apart from those closest to Jesus from the beginning, is important is that it means (or it does mean) that the disciples were not born with the Holy Spirit (at their birth)...Which may mean we are not born with the Holy Spirit...We may, and this is only a guess, get the Holy Spirit when we are reborn...Then when we have the Holy Spirit that is sent by God, we will be able to enter His Kingdom, His heaven...
For those to believe this, you must believe that God is Almighty...He can do all things...You believe then that God controls our lives, our deaths, our Holy Spirit (because He is the One that sends it), and our resurrection, so we may be in heaven with Him and His Son...If one can believe in this, then one can easier believe that Jesus was resurrected by our Creator and lived on earth another forty days to teach and be with His disciples (those additional and special days following His death and resurrection)...There will be some who do not believe that this (resurrection) can happen, just as the one who made the comment about Jairus' daughter, who had just died...Why bother the Teacher anymore, if the girl is dead?...That implies Jesus or His Father cannot raise us from the dead...Basically her life is over...But, Jesus proved the non-believer and the other people who did not believe wrong...
But if somehow we can trust in the LORD, and don't be afraid, and just believe miracles can happen...He can send us and give us a Holy Spirit, and we can be reborn and be with Him and His Father, in the Kingdom of Heaven...For those who believe in Jesus' teachings on being reborn and getting into the Kingdom of God, and receiving the Holy Spirit, and the resurrection -the best is yet to come...For our eyes cannot see, nor our ears cannot hear or believe, and no earthly mind can conceive what God has prepared for those who love Him -for God has revealed it to us by this Spirit that He sent...
