John 3:16
God LOVES Us
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 16:25-33
In This World You Will Have Trouble
25 “Though I have been speaking figuratively, a time is coming when I will no longer use this kind of language but will tell you plainly about my Father. 26 In that day you will ask in my name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf. 27 No, the Father himself loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God. 28 I came from the Father and entered the world; now I am leaving the world and going back to the Father.”
29 Then Jesus’ disciples said, “Now you are speaking clearly and without figures of speech. 30 Now we can see that you know all things and that you do not even need to have anyone ask you questions. This makes us believe that you came from God.”
31 “Do you now believe?” Jesus replied. 32 “A time is coming and in fact has come when you will be scattered, each to your own home. You will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me.
33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Hebrews 6:17-20
The Hope in God is the Anchor to the Soul
17 Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. 18 God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged. 19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, 20 where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.
Matthew 1:23
God is With Us
23 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).
I have always wished and hoped that in all the things I do, that they would go well and without any problems or troubles...But that is just a dream...This way of thinking is corrected by Jesus...Jesus told His Disciples before His arrest that in this world we will have troubles...And since we know that we will have troubles, we want God to notice them at the time we are having our problems and troubles...We have this hope that God is watching and listening to us...We hope that God notices our problems and cares about our troubles...We do hope that God is with us...In our most difficult times we need to know that God is with us and LOVES us and does care about the issues that sometimes overwhelm us...
So we believe in this thing called hope, and do hope that Immanuel is with us...Hope is the anchor to one’s soul, who has faith...So let us hope in the LORD and pray that God be with us...And even though we know that He died on the Cross with troubles, we have hope that He has forgiven us of our sins so that we will have eternal life...
