24 The Jews who were there gathered around him, saying, “How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us plainly.” 25 Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify about me, 26 but you do not believe because you are not my sheep.
John 10:37-38
Jesus Does the Works of His Father
37 Do not believe me unless I do the works of my Father. 38 But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.
John 14:10-11
Jesus Does the Works of His Father
10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. 11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves.
John 3:1-2
Nicodemus Acknowledges Jesus' Miracles
1 Now there was a Pharisee, a man named Nicodemus who was a member of the Jewish ruling council. 2 He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.”
The authors of the four gospels all write about the life of Jesus...The writings are more than just a set of historical facts about His life...They write about His many miracles...So the Gospel Books, as well as the other Books of the New Testament and Bible are different than any other book or books...The people who authored the four gospels either were witnesses to His miracles, and signs, and His works...To believe in the four gospels, one has to believe that Jesus is Someone very special...And that He is from God, and He can do miracles...
Jesus says repeatedly that He does the work of His Father...It appears to me that He is actually coming out and saying I do miracles...He is saying I do miracles...And in fact, Nicodemus, a Pharisee acknowledges that Jesus is going around doing miraculous sign after miraculous sign...For no one could perform this type and the number of miraculous signs if God were not with Him...The miracles Jesus did testified about Him...It shows that He is in the Father and the Father is in Him...
And when we think about Jesus' miracles, no other religious leader ever went around doing miracle after miracle...This sets Jesus apart from the other Great Prophets and Saints...Jesus miracles were another part, and a significant part of His ministry...
