Deuteronomy 4:29
Seek the LORD
29 But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.
Hebrews 11:6
Faith and Believing the LORD Exists
6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
John 3:16-17
God LOVES the World
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
Matthew 8:5-13
5 When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for help. 6 “Lord,” he said, “my servant lies at home paralyzed, suffering terribly.”
7 Jesus said to him, “Shall I come and heal him?”
8 The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. 9 For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
10 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith. 11 I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. 12 But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would.” And his servant was healed at that moment.
Acts 4:10-12
Salvation if Found Only in the Name of Jesus
10 then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. 11 Jesus is
“‘the stone you builders rejected,
which has become the cornerstone.’
12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
John 17:3
Eternal Life is Knowing God and His Son
3 Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
Faith is important in the life of the believer...And it should be...Faith pleases our Father, our LORD...And if we can please Him, then that is something to feel good about...And it also pleases us, when we please our Father...It is always nice when we can feel good in life, and our faith can help do that...It also seems like faith brings more purpose in life, because of the Bible telling us that we have pleased our Creator...
God wants us to have faith, and He wants us to have faith in both Him and His Son...God sent us His Son not to condemn us but to show us He LOVES the world...
The author of Hebrews tells us that we must have faith to please God...Faith is a starting point of our belief in God...Because anyone who does come to our Father, first must believe the He exists...And God rewards those who earnestly seek Him with all their hearts and their souls...So God wants us to come to faith, and to come to and believe in Him...We see that faith pleases God, and it also pleases us (because we have pleased Him, and pleased Someone we love)...
The statement in the Book of Hebrews seems pretty simple...Without faith we cannot please God...We must have faith to believe in Him, otherwise how could we believe that He exists?...So by believing in Him, we believe that He truly does exist...And He rewards those who earnestly and diligently seek Him...In those rewards are our salvation...And in our salvation, we must turn to Jesus Christ...Because salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must and can be be saved...
One having faith pleases God...It also pleases His Son...Jesus stopped and was amazed at the great faith of a centurion...So great was this centurion's faith, that it is in the Bible -and that Jesus spoke about that one who had great faith...It is interesting that Jesus seems almost a little stunned by the centurion's great faith...But He does want to tell us so that we may learn about a Roman Centurion's faith...So He speaks about it...
We can work hard, practice and get very good at things, we can gather wealth, accumulate material things, and read a library of books and become intelligent...But do those things please God?...We are told it is our faith that pleases Him, not intellect, being a good athlete, a good worker, being wealthy, or many others things we like to do on earth...It is our faith in Him, that He wants...And isn't it nice to hear, we can please Him...And we can only do this by our faith...And then by growing our faith we get to know God and His Son better...
We are seek God with our hearts, our souls, and our minds...And after we seek Him, we are drawn to Him with our heart, our soul, or our mind...We then know that He exists...When we believe that He exists, we then can have faith in Him...And as our faith grows we get to know Him and His Son...The more mature our faith is the better we get to know Him and His Son...
God LOVES the World and sent His Son to die for our sins...If we have faith and believe that God exists, then we want to get to know Him and His Son...The more we study about God and Jesus, the more we know about Them...And when we get to know Them, this is eternal life...Jesus says this about eternal life: Now this is eternal life: that they know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent...And it is by faith we receive His promised rewards...
