Job 42:1-6
Job Has Heard God Speak
1 Then Job replied to the Lord:
2 “I know that you can do all things;
no purpose of yours can be thwarted.
3 You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge?’
Surely I spoke of things I did not understand,
things too wonderful for me to know.
4 “You said, ‘Listen now, and I will speak;
I will question you,
and you shall answer me.’
5 My ears had heard of you
but now my eyes have seen you.
6 Therefore I despise myself
and repent in dust and ashes.”
John 16:33
In this World You will Have Troubles
33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Revelation 21:1-4
God Will Wipe Away Every Tear from our Eyes, There Will Be No More Death
1 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
We have a Savior...God sent us His Son to save us and bring us salvation and be our Savior...So, if Jesus really suffered and died for our sins, why do we still suffer?...Why isn’t life good and easy?...Why is there disease and people who are disabled and lame?...Why don’t everyone live life with ease?...Why doesn’t everyone have peace of mind each and everyday?...
It was certainly true when Jesus told His Disciples that in this world you will have trouble...Because they did have trouble after He ascended to heaven, and as they tried to spread His gospel and His teachings...
Most people go back and talk about the Fall of Man, when they hear these questions or similar questions...One thing I have learned from these questions and of life is that we do suffer, life is sometimes rough and hard, there are diseases that kill us, there are people who are disabled and lame...But, for me, these questions always take me back to God and Jesus...They also take me back to the Book of Job...Only when Job has seen and heard God, does he realize that his suffering and all that he had been complaining and discussing with his friends no longer mattered...There is more than this world, there is another world, where all tears will be wiped away and death will be no more...Jesus has overcame this world, this earthly world...
God gave us a Savior, to save us from our sins...God, nor Jesus, never said that He gave us a Savior to take away our troubles, our suffering, or our death...
