Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in God
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
Matthew 6:9-15
The LORD's Prayer
9 “This, then, is how you should pray:
“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.’
14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
John 16:13
The Holy Spirit Will Guide Us to the Truth
13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
Solomon in Proverbs tells us to trust in God and not to lean on our own understanding...I see this (trusting in God) taking place through the free will that God gives us and also knowing that His Will gets done on earth...
God gave us free will to make our own decisions...And that includes believing in Him and/or His Son...Jesus, when He arrived on earth in His ministry, was teaching His people and all people about God and the eternities...The One who was sent from God, the Messiah could do such things...When Jesus taught His Disciples the LORD’s Prayer we hear Him teach that God’s Will will get done on earth as it does in heaven...So even with our free will and God allowing us to make our own choices each and everyday, His Will does in the end get done on earth...Somehow the fate of our lives is intertwined with God’s Will...God can do such things...God can do all things, and in the most subtlest of ways that we can rarely notice them, if that is His Will...
We might believe that it is the indwelt Holy Spirit that is guiding us to all Truth...
