John 16:29-33
In this Life and this World You Will Have Troubles
29 Then Jesus’ disciples said, “Now you are speaking clearly and without figures of speech. 30 Now we can see that you know all things and that you do not even need to have anyone ask you questions. This makes us believe that you came from God.”
31 “Do you now believe?” Jesus replied. 32 “A time is coming and in fact has come when you will be scattered, each to your own home. You will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me.
33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
When life gives you troubles and sufferings, what goes through your mind?...Jesus tells us that in this life we will have troubles...So, if we believe Him and believe in Him we can expect troubles throughout and at different times in our lives...So let us expect some troubles and sufferings as we journey through life...
Pastor and author Rick Warren has written different things about life...He writes: “Why is this happening to me?...Why am I having such a difficult time?...One answer is that life is supposed to be difficult!...It’s what enables us to grow...Remember, earth is not heaven!”...“If you want God to bless you and use you greatly, you must be willing to walk with a limp the rest of your life, because God uses weak people.”...“Grief is a good thing because it gets you through the transitions of life.”...“Wonderful changes are going to happen in your life as you begin to live it on purpose.”...We’re not completely happy here because we’re not supposed to be!...Earth is not our final home; we were created for something much better.”...“You weren't put on earth to be remembered.
