Merriam Webster's Dictionary is the authority on words today...They published their first dictionary in 1847...Their website says that their two main dictionaries today are the Webster International Dictionary, Unabridged and the Webster's Collegiate Dictionary...The college dictionary gets completely edited and revised every ten to twelve years, while the international dictionary does get completely revised and edited, but much less often...The collegiate dictionary gets updated annually with the new words added and the older no longer used words are dropped...New words get added as people start using them, such as netiquette, which means internet etiquette -has been added since the web came into existence... Old words occasionally leave their dictionaries, from lack of use...People stop using some old and outdated words...So we see that words are dynamic, and are ever changing...
Some words die off, but some words live on and on...Some Words are Eternal...Jesus spoke eternal words...Jesus Words are words that will never pass away...Jesus was sent by His Father to us (and to earth) to teach and show us different holy, sacred, spiritual, and eternal things...Jesus dwelt on the earth among us...If we can remain and believe in Him, then His Words will always remain in us...His Words live on, they will live forever...Jesus taught the eternities of life...
How else could Jesus teach us but with His Words?...Jesus Words are Holy, they are Spiritual, the are Sacred, they are robust, they are active, and they are living...His Words give us faith, hope, and love...His very Words are eternal life...And in His words about eternal life, we learn that if we know God and believe that He is the One and Only True God and we know that God sent His Son -and if we believe these things, then we have eternal life...
