Assignment (pdf) tasks must be correctly 'tagged' to integrate with OLM and Pivotal.
The format is: 'Code_[assessment type code and number ]' e.g. Code_AS1.
Codes can be found on the Check Assessment Dates or Course Audit Report (VPN) or course descriptor
There should only be one 'Code_' tag per assessed task except for exams that only have the tag 'other'
Assessments will be uploaded using the Written & Record Task type and the File upload sub type. Be sure to set it to assessed.
Only use the File Upload sub-type of Written &Record for assignment tasks. Only the uploaded file is sent through to OLM. Text entered into other File Upload sub-types such as Essay with Rich Text will not go through to OLM.
Add the Task Name
Click the Assessed? toggle to Yes
Select Written & Record for the Task Type
Select File Upload as the sub type (default)
Click Clear Task Content
This section is not optional for assessed tasks as it is where we add the task tag required to link to OLM.
Add Instructions for learners (This can be here or in the question area if more formatting options are required)
Use Add a file to upload the assessment pdf and any other supporting files the students will need for the assessment.
Add the appropriate Task Tag to link to OLM. Remember to hit enter to make it stick. It should turn green. The format is Code_[Assessment Type Code from the course detail report] e.g. 'Code_AS1'
Note: The Question area can be used if your instructions require more formatting options than the Instructions for learners area allows. Keep it simple.
Add Feedback that the student will see on submission of their assessment.
Correct choice of marking template is important if the course is licenced to another provider who will be marking within iQualify and not through OLM as our courses are.
Select an appropriate Marking Template.
Percentage with feedback would match our common marked assignments.
If the assignment is competency based then Complete/Incomplete or Correct/Incorrect with feedback would be appropriate. Check with your PLD.
Go back to the study guide to assign weightings. See Assessed Tasks
Assignment files will be visible from the opening of the course.
If you require these to be date gated see Test Tasks
