Extend editing tools
Learning Design and Development has independently developed several Chrome extensions, collectively known as iTools, that provide efficiency gains for Education Design Services, Logistics and Faculty staff working with iQualify.
Task details cannot be searched (the title can though)
Tasks will not print to PDF or Export to Word (just their title and assessment status)
iReview is a markup and annotation tool for iQualify. It allows proposed changes to be marked up on a copy of the page. The tool replicates the track changes and commenting functions of Microsoft Word, allowing course reviewers to revise content online. This greatly simplifies the review process.
Visit the iReview help page for further details.
iSearch Plus is a Chrome extension that allows users to search for text over a whole iQualify course. It’s perfect for finding those outdated terms in a 1000-page law course.
iSearch has a growing number of reports, providing different views of your course – from summary information to specific listings. These reports provide an overview of the course and allow inconsistencies and missing information (for example, copyright, broken links), to be discovered quickly and easily, and provide direct access to the pages requiring attention.
Visit the iSearch Plus help page for further details.
iSearch Print is iSearch Plus with the additional functionality of course printing and export and several ED specific reports.
As an ED use this rather than the Plus version.
Visit the iSearch Print help page for further details.
iFormat provides additional formatting options for course builders.
Visit the iFormat help page for further details.
Although the iTools are hosted on the Chrome Web Store, they’re not publicly listed, so will not appear in searches. If you’re part of Open Polytechnic or an external contractor and would like access to these tools, please contact the developer: colin.millar@openpolytechnic.ac.nz
