Although the text options may seem standard, there are specific elements that must be used correctly and consistently. These include:

The text element allows the addition of formatted text, links, tables, styles and more, and will be the most commonly used element in your course.
The text menu along the top is fairly standard, from left to right.
¶ (format) allows a choice of two heading levels and reverting back to normal text.
Style allows in-line code and superscript and subscript.
B, I, Allow toggling of bold and italic.
Lists allow lists.
File provides a selection from the files you have uploaded to your Resources area. These are often readings.
Table allows the creation and editing of simple tables.
Link is used to create links to external sources – be sure to select Open in a new page.
Internal link allows the creation of links to other units in the course.
