Assignment tasks must be tagged with Code_[assessment type code and number e.g. Code_AS1].
Codes can be found on the Check Assessment Dates or Course Audit Report (VPN) or your course descriptor
Exams require a task placeholder and should be tagged with Other and no other tag. See Exam Tasks
Tests are similar to assignments but have a time limit. There are a variety of Gottchas with these. See Task Tests.
The Task Report in iSearch will try and check both codes and weightings.
There can only be one Task or Quiz per assessment item in the course descriptor.
To assist with assessment visibility it is recommended that all assessed tasks are placed in a dedicated Assessments module which includes.
an Assessments Overview page
a page for each assessment
Internal links can be used to link to the assessments in the flow of the course
For traditional PDF assessments use Written & Record -> File Upload
For 'tests' where a student uploads, also use Written & Record -> File Upload.
For Exams a placeholder task needs to be created as a MCQ.

Marking of assessed tasks is undertaken in OLM and Pivotal. Tagging of tasks provides the link between iQualify and these systems.
Assessed tasks must be correctly 'tagged' to integrate with OLM and Pivotal.
The format is: 'Code_[assessment type code and number from the Check Assessment Dates or Course Audit Report (VPN)]' e.g. Code_AS1.
There should only be one 'Code_' tag per assessed task except for exams that only have the tag 'other'
The assessment code can be found on the course detail report under the Assessments and Outcomes section of your course.
Note you will need to use VPN from home to access this (then disconnect as it kills your internet speed)
Enter the assessment code for your assessment here prefixed with Code_ e.g. Code_AS1 or just 'Other' for exams
Note: You may get a security message when you click the link, go to the Advanced options and tell it to let you through anyway.
An updated Tasks Report in iSearch should be used before publication to ensure that both task tags and weights match the Pivotal data.
Task tags are added in the 'Additional instructions' part of the tasks. Expand this by clicking on the title 'Additional instructions'
Underneath Attachments is an area for Metata Data and Tags. Enter 'Code_' and then the Assessment Type Code from the Course Audit Report of the course. e.g. Code_AS1 into the Tags input box. Hit enter to save the tag.

Weightings for assessed tasks are added outside of the task itself in the Study Plan area.
Here weightings up to a total of 100% can be set.
Although Opening and Due dates can also be set here, currently this is being done through manage.
To get to the study plan first preview/edit the course and then click the Study Plan Button
This will list all modules and assessed tasks. Scroll down to your assessed task and click the edit 'pencil'
Enter the weight and click update
Visit the iQualify knowledge base for more details about Study Plans
Currently opening and due dates for assessed tasks are set through Manage by the Course Offering Admin (COA) team. As an LD you will not have access to Manage.
Warning: Date gating a task will not hide the assignment or test file uploaded to the task under additional instructions attachments.
See Test Tasks for possible workarounds
Manage view: Expanding each Module will list all assessed tasks and allow dates to be set.
Manage view: Clicking on the date allows specific dates to be set.
But I saw this in the study plan?
The study plan area also allows opening and due dates to be set either by course or Days since the course opened. This may become standard practice but currently specific dates will be set by manage.
