Tasks are a major change to iQualify and replace Activities, Assessments and Quizzes The new tasks offer a much greater range of learning activities for students which may be formative or assessed.
There are seven categories of tasks currently available, offering over 18 unique tasks with more in development. These are:
Multiple choice – standard multiple choice, true and false or matrix style
Fill in the blanks – cloze association, drop down, free text and math equations
Highlight – highlight words/sentences
Written and record – file upload, free text and audio
Sort and match – order, match and classification
Label – image drop down and hot spot
Charts and graphs
There is also a new Quiz option that is a collection of tasks.

Tasks can be enabled by switching the toggle just under the course title as shown below.
Be sure to click the big green down arrow to save the change
Switching to tasks will change the options available at both the course and page level.
Assessment Items and Assessment description menu items are removed from the course level menu.
When creating pages the Insert Quiz option has also been removed. No more CSV quizzes!
Page element options are also slightly different.
Activity is replaced by the new Task and there is a new Quiz option. The Quiz option is actually a grouping of tasks.
