This guide is aimed at course authors working in the Open Polytechnic environment. It’s a guide to the iQualify platform and a repository of knowledge that will assist both newcomers and old hands alike.
The structure of this guide is loosely based on the structure of the iQualify authoring environment.
Open Polytechnic-specific procedures will be discussed in their appropriate sections (for example, readings).
There’s also a handy search function at the top right of each page.
We recommend that newcomers start with the iQualify overview and then go through Walk-through: Create a course.
iQualify has decided to unilaterally (and without any discussion I'm aware of with their major client) change the names of modules, topics and units.
Module = Section
Topic = Subsection
Unit = Page
This change should have minimal impact except that these new terms will be in the 'Build' - sorry - 'Create' (they renamed that too) environment.
We haven't decided to change the name so will be continuing to refer to these structural elements as before.
